About Vat Purnima Vrat

Vat Purnima falls on Jyeshtha Shukla Purnima and is kept in Maharashtra, Gujarat and south India. As with Vat Savitri in the north, married women fast, worship the banyan tree and tie thread around it, remembering Savitri and Satyavan.
