About Parashurama Jayanti

Parashurama Jayanti falls on Vaishakha Shukla Tritiya, usually the same day as Akshaya Tritiya. It marks the birth of Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Vishnu. As he was born in the evening, the jayanti is kept on the day Tritiya falls in Pradosh Kaal.
