About Govardhan Puja

Govardhan Puja falls on Kartika Shukla Pratipada, the day after Diwali. It recalls Krishna lifting the Govardhan hill. Families make a small Govardhan, often from cow dung, and worship it. Many temples and homes offer Krishna the Annakut, a large spread of cooked dishes.
